Faucet Mount Water Filters are not as Good as Other Choices
Faucet mount water filters are probably the next step up in cost from water pitcher filters. Faucet mount filters also take less routine work than water pitcher filters, since they do not have to be refilled over and over. You also won’t have to wait for the first third of the water poured into the pitcher to slowly trickle down through the filter, and then the next third. The faucet mounted filters can be difficult to attach securely to the faucet, and may take special installation by a plumber or talented family member. Without an exact fit of the brand of faucet filter, and without a perfect threading of the filter and the faucet’s screw threads, the customer will have leakage or even pressurized spray leakage. The faucet mounted filter will also take up space in the sink area, and be bulky and awkward to maneuver around if the sink is used for cleaning or rinsing dishware.
